Claremore, Oklahoma Medicare Plans

Choosing a Medicare Plan can be overwhelming…confusing…frustrating…or down right mind blowing!  Or, it can be educational and informative with the help of the Insurance Plan Guy, Steve Melton.

There are so many questions you need answered about choosing a Medicare Plan.  Here are just a few.

  • When do I apply?
  • How do I apply?
  • Will I get penalized if I don’t apply?
  • Do I even need to apply?
  • Is there a cost for Medicare?
  • Does my income make a difference?
  • Can I change plans if I don’t like the plan I selected?
  • What if I missed my enrollment window?
  • What doctors and hospitals can I go to?
  • Do I get dental and vision with Medicare?
  • If I don’t take medications, do I need a prescription drug plan?

And, there are plenty more!

Once you have determined it is time to consider enrolling in Medicare, you should understand the differences in your 2 plan options that work with Medicare… Medicare Supplements (Medigap) or Medicare Advantage.  You likely have heard opinions in favor of both options.  But, which plan is best for you?  It depends on YOUR NEEDS, WISHES, AND BUDGET.

Do you prefer a plan that allows you to see any doctor that accepts Medicare or are you OK with a network of doctors and hospitals?  Do you want a plan that may require a referral to see a doctor or get a treatment?  Do you plan to travel outside your home area often?  Do you have pre-existing health conditions?  See, I told you there would be more considerations in selecting a plan.

As you can see, there is so much to learn to be able to make proper Medicare Plan decisions.  Is this the kind of choice you feel comfortable making sitting in the aisle of your grocery store or pharmacy?  I would hope not!

With the help of the Insurance Plan Guy, you have the opportunity to get your questions answered and discuss plan options that are tailored to your needs.  We offer FREE educational Medicare 101 seminars in a small group setting  - leave your checkbook at home, you are not being asked to decide on a plan.    You also have the opportunity for an individual consultation if you prefer.
